The American Goldfinch


The American Goldfinch


   The American Goldfinch is a bird of North America in the finch family. It ranges from southern Canada immigration in North Carolina during the breeding season, south of the Canadian border to Mexico the winter. The finch only in the subfamily, show a complete outline of experience, the American Goldfinch sexual dimorphism in its coloration, the male with a bright yellow in summer and an olive color during the winter months, while the female Shadow is an opaque yellow-brown, lighten up a bit 'over the summer. The brightly colored plumage of the males during the mating season to attract a partner. The American Goldfinch is a transformation of the business and appropriate for the consumption of seedheads, remove with a cone, seed and nimble feet to grab the seedheads chopsticks for food. It is a social bird, and will gather in large flocks when feeding and migration. The incubation period is tied to the top of the food chain, starting in late July, which is relatively late in the year for a lark. Human activity in general, the American goldfinch benefits. Often found in residential areas, attracted by bird feeders installed by people who are increasing their survival rate in these areas. Deforestation also creates an open meadows, which are the preferred habitat of the American Goldfinch.


Habitat and reproduction.

    American Goldfinch preferred these open areas where weeds grow, like fields, meadows, pastures, roads and gardens. It may also open the hardwood forests and riparian areas and growth are secondary. This preference for real estate continues in spring and autumn.
    The summer breeding ranged these stretches across North America from coast to coast. It is bounded on the north by Saskatchewan and extends south into North America North Carolina, on the east coast and northern California on the west coast. The American  goldfinch is a short-distance migrants, reduced to the south, in response to colder climate and offer food. Migrations is in compact flocks, which led to the flight plan as irregular waves.
    Its winter includes southern Canada and extending south through the United States, parts of Mexico. Winter in the northern part of the region can move toward the power finch, if available. To the south is still enough in the winter in areas such as fields and pastures, where they live during the summer months.
